CORE - Teacher: Mrs. Frazier
Everyone says CORE is the hardest class, but I don't see why. There is a lot of work we have to do, but all of it is very easy. It involves a lot of writing, reading, spelling, and notes, but it's easy to comprehend.
CORE is History and English combined. I get good grades in there, even though people say that it is the most difficult class. Maybe we haven't got to the hard part, yet. We do simulations about how the people in the past lived, how trade worked, and culture.
The Muslims had a very interesting culture. Their religion was Islam. It was kind of weird how they couldn't walk or look the queen/king in the face when they would talk. They had to crawl up to her/him, kneel in front of her/him, and look down while talking to him/her, but it was all part of culture & religion, and I respect that. In our time, when we think about how the West Africans discovered iron, we think it's no big deal. When it comes down to it, what would we do without iron?? Tools, weapons, and many other things are an important part of the world today. |
