French: Teacher - Madame Hutchison
The problem is memorizing the spelling. It's like I'm learning how to talk like a baby once again. Some words just don't come out right, and others have weird spelling so I don't know how to pronounce it. My sister and I want to move to Paris because we are both learning French. We think that's too far to move from our parents, so we want to move to Paris, TX.
I'm having a hard time learning my spelling and pronunciation. It is like I'm a baby starting all over. I have to try to shape my mouth to be able to say words the way they are meant to be said. I did a Glogster page and I the poster below. We do Rosetta Stone and the microphone on the headset really bugs me because sometimes it doesn't work. The people that sit at my table are really annoying. We have to do a calendar entry everyday before we move on. The calendar is really confusing and all words are in French and I have no idea what they mean!

My French Poster
In French class, we had to do a poster explaining our likes and dislikes. On the left side is my likes (J'aime means likes). I like singing, listening to music, dancing, and my baby sister. On the right side are my dislikes (Je n'aime pas means dislikes). I don't like chocolate, sports, Mondays, or ballet. I really like the website Glogster, so you should check it out sometime. You can make posters to share with people. I have one for my Science class (which you can find on my science page).
Extra Credit Gargoyle Model
|
The slide of two pictures to the left are my model of a Gargoyle. Although they do look somewhat different, my creativity and attention span couldn't handle it. I used natural air-dry clay in grey for $8.99 at Michael's Craft Store. It was for 10 pounds of clay, so the price blew me away! You may be wondering about the eyes. Let's just say, they're beads. They give it a creepy feel. I tried so hard to make it great. My first attempt was an epic failure. After one day, the wings, teeth, claws, ear and head fell off when I picked it up to finish painting it. (Showed below the slides of my successful model) I decided to give it another shot, and using lots of time, blending, rolling, and LOTS of frustration, I did it! I thought he looked pretty awesome already, so I didn't paint him. I went for a content, small Gargoyle. He's about 6 inches tall. Although I did have to hot-glue the wings back on once, that was an astonishing difference in work compared to my first attempt.
