7th Grade School Project

Well, this is my new cat Marcie-May. I got her from a shelter in Petco called "The Cat House on the Kings". If you've ever seen the T.V show The Woman With 700 Cats, that is the original shelter. It isn't very far from here.
As I said earlier, we recently lost our baby boy, Jigsaw. My mom and I were crying for days. We can't say his name at our house because it'll make us cry. We bought her to fill the gaping hole in our hearts from the loss of Jigsaw.
Marcie-May is a 13 week old kitten. She was rescued when she was 4 weeks old. She was abused and abandoned by irresponsible people. The neighbors of the house they were abandoned at found them and brought them in.
Marcie-May's original name was Darcy. My mom wanted to "keep it country", so we changed it to Marcie-May, which is pretty close. She and her brother, a grey tabby and Maine-Coon mix, was also there, but he had been adopted. He was still in the kitten room until his new owners got the house ready for him. I am so excited to be the new owner of this beautiful cat, Marcie-May.

Preforming in public can be scary for just about anyone. I used to be petrified  of preforming in public, even though every time I sang, I got so many compliments on my voice (which I don't think is true). Even if I am good, it is still scary.
At first, I was afraid to sing to my own family. I was a very.....off third grader, so every Friday I sang for my class. In 6th grade, my third grade teacher transferred to work as a 1st grade teacher. After school, she walked her class out to the front to wait for them to get picked up. Every now and then, I'd go up and talk to her. One day, she asked me to come into her class to sing for them.  I'd gone back in my little shell because I was socially rejected by everyone. To try to even help out my situation was scary because I didn't want to come off as a wannabe. I was shaking like I never shook before, but they were 1st graders. Every Friday from then on I sang different songs for them with my friend MaKinzie. I've lost touch with her because we live far from each other. Getting hugs and inspiring the little ones was more than enough happiness. I no longer have to be in my shell, afraid to shine.

My grandma and I are going to create a new Weebly page for our crafting in hopes to sell some. I'm teaching her what I know on designing it. My aunt wanted to be in on it, but to be honest, we don't really like her, and her skills aren't the best. My grandma and I make everything from Duct Tape roses to wire beaded earrings/necklaces. I make the roses and sell them at school. A small one with 16 petals is $2, one with 32 is $4 and one with 64 is $6. They may seem expansive but they are very pretty (P.S my big red rose you may see me with sometimes don't get that big because of my limited supply of tape) I'll also start making aluminum roses, which starting at 16 petals, will be $4, 32 petals $6, and 64 petals $8. The profit made will be used towards more duct tape to keep my mini-business going.

We'll post some of our creations on her website. All our creations are 100% hand-crafted. We may start taking requests. You can talk to me about it anytime and I'll see what I can do for you.

As you know, my little sister's name is Isabella (a.k.a Bella). She is only 15 months old, but people mistake her for a lot older. She can say hi, bye, mama, dada, sister, no, yes, thanks, please, and she communicates by nodding her head yes or no. This saves us a lot of tantrums.
Bella loves books (as I mentioned in a separate post). She likes to sit in a chair by herself and look at picture books. She even knows her colors, even though she can't pronounce them. My favorite thing she does is singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She doesn't know the words, but she talks jibberish while talking to the tune.
Her favorite thing is to put on her necklaces. They're just Mardi Gras beads, but she loves them because she can put them on herself. She wears them almost every day.
She is also a very fashionable girl. I'll ask her if she likes this outfit and she'll say yes or no. If she likes it, she'll either hug or kiss it. She likes everything pink, but she refuses to wear bows or headbands. She'll wear them for a little bit, then when she realizes that it's on her head, she'll rip it out. I like to put her hair up in a pigtail going straight up (like the little girl on Despicable Me).
